DESCRIPTION
Fall is the best time to feed with Scotts® Turf Builder® WinterGuard® Fall Lawn Food. This fall fertilizer builds strong, deep grass roots for a better lawn next spring, delivering the nutrients needed to help recover from damage caused by summer heat, drought, and activity. Scotts® Turf Builder® WinterGuard® Fall Lawn Food is for use on any grass type. Apply the product to a wet or dry lawn. We recommend using a Scotts® spreader to apply this product. For Scotts® broadcast/rotary spreaders, use a setting of 2 3/4. For Scotts® drop spreaders, use a setting of 6. If fast results are desired, lightly water the product in after application; however, watering-in is not required. Return unused product to original container, and sweep any product that lands on the driveway, sidewalk, or street back onto your lawn. One 10 lb. bag of Scotts® Turf Builder® WinterGuard® Fall Lawn Food covers 4,000 sq. ft.
Step by Step Instructions
How to Use
Fill and Set your Scotts® Spreader:
- Scotts® Broadcast/Rotary Spreader: 2-3/4
- Scotts® Drop Spreader: 6
Apply:
- For an even application, walk at a steady pace slightly overlapping each pass.
- Broadcast/Rotary Spreaders: Line up each pass approximately 5 feet from wheel track.
- Drop Spreaders: Align hopper arrow with previous wheel track.
- Lightly water product in for fast results. Product does not require watering in.
Clean-Up:
- Return unused product to the original container. Sweep any product that lands on the driveway, sidewalk, or street back onto your lawn.
- Your lawn is safe to re-enter immediately after product is applied.

- This lawn food may be applied to all grass types. Apply only to your lawn.
Where Not to Use
- Help keep our water clean. Do not apply near water, storm drains, or drainage ditches. Do not apply is heavy rain is expected.
